The Artist

introducing

I come from a family with a long tradition of artistic talent and manual dexterity in knitting, crocheting, and stitching. From a very young age, I displayed great capacity and patience to master various knitting and stitching techniques.

“More importantly, I consider myself a student of art.”

I’ve spent decades traveling and studying artistic centers around the world. From the traditional pieces in the Louvre and Van Gogh Museum, contemporary and modern art in galleries of London and New York. In addition, less traditional art forms and tapestries of South America, Africa, Middle East, and South East Asia.

GLobal ARTistic influences

Throughout my life, I have eagerly studied knitting, textiles, and all kinds of weaves. I was fortunate to combine my love of knitting with my passion for travel. This has taken me across the world to five continents, learning from the art of knitting across various cultures, methods, techniques, processes, and materials. Bringing this altogether, I continuously try to pair cultural expression and specialty materials in my work with the intent of evoking emotional reaction in my audience.
